About Us

Thanks  for visiting! This is the official website of Heritage Beekeepers. Anyone interested in honey bees, beekeeping and pollinators is encouraged to attend a meeting, regardless of location. We are blessed to have a great group from all over East TN, and would be honored for you to join us.

The  best place to learn about us and our local pollinators is your local  bee club. We would love to see you at our meetings! Each month we host  an informative speaker, a pot luck dinner and fellowship, all for free. Hope to see you there!

Kind words are like honey.... (Proverbs 16:24)

Meeting Times and Place

We meet on the second Thursday of each month February-November at 306 East Main Street in Rogersville (The Shepherd's Center). Doors open at 6pm, with the meeting beginning at 6:30. Each month we host experienced speakers and a pot luck style dinner with a different theme each month. Everyone is always welcomed and encouraged to join us.

Mission Statement

  • The  purpose and objectives of the Club are to serve as a resource to local  beekeepers; educate the community about the joys, skills, and fruits of  beekeeping, recruit new members, and foster interactions with the  agricultural community and other beekeeping organizations. Said club is  organized exclusively for charitable, educational, or scientific  purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to  organizations that qualify under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal  Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax  code. ( As written in our bylaws)

We follow this by:

  • Encouraging the youth to participate
  •  Initiating relationships between beekeepers
  • Educating the community and beyond about honey bees and keeping
  • Forming alliances and relationships with local bee entities
  • Mentoring and assisting all interested throughout their keeping
  • Spreading awareness through local events and media
  • Creating opportunities for volunteering throughout the year

In all we do - let it be from our hearts. For after all, It's about the bees who reside there.
